Makers Era: a custom project for the event
VIA — Visual Innovation Awards curated the visuals for Google Cloud AI Live Roma with Makers Era, a project created specifically for the occasion and made entirely with Google tools. Riccardo Vincenzi and Maurizio Leoni served as creative directors, Riccardo Vincenzi as AI artist, and Giuliano Solazzo as sound designer.
The project brought visual creation and sound design together for a live event setting. Its credits make the creative roles explicit: the tools were Google’s, while the direction, AI artistry and sound design were the work of the named creative team.

Six films, selected by VIA and the Google Cloud team
Alongside Makers Era, six short films from Rome AI Festival were projected during the event. The selection was curated jointly by VIA and the Google Cloud team:

These screenings brought films from the festival into another context, giving the selected works a further occasion to meet an audience. The programme paired a project made for the event with existing films by six different filmmakers.
Cloud AI Live Roma at The Space Cinema Moderno
Google’s official Cloud AI Live Roma page confirms the venue, The Space Cinema Moderno, and the date, 21 October 2026. Its programme focused on practical uses of cloud and AI, including a keynote, demonstrations, sessions and a hands-on lab.
Within that programme, VIA’s contribution was cinematic: a custom visual project and a curated selection of short films on screen. Makers Era and the six films connected the discussion of creative technology with work made to be watched.
VIA: original production and film curation
This project brings two parts of VIA’s work into the same setting. Original production responds to a particular brief; curation brings distinct films and creative voices into a programme. At Cloud AI Live Roma, the two approaches sat alongside each other.
The VIA network connects Rome AI Festival, Prompt2Screen, Florence AI Festival and Milan AI Festival through different formats for creating, watching and discussing cinema. The Rome event extends that work into custom visual production and screenings for an external programme.
